Belgium – Working hours for temp agencies fall by 1.3% in July: Federgon

The number of temporary work hours performed in July 2022 decreased by 1.33% (based on seasonally and calendar-adjusted figures), compared to the same period a year ago, according to the latest data from Federgon.
The 1.33% drop is due to a 1.44% drop in the blue collar segment and a 1.20% drop in the white collar segment.
Compared to the previous month, the number of temporary work hours performed increased by 1.50% compared to the previous month. This improvement is due to an increase in the number of hours worked in the blue collar segment (1.94%) and another increase in the white collar segment of 0.87%.

Director of Research and Economic Affairs, Federgon, said. “This is driven by a substantial increase in student activity this month. Compared to July 2021, overall activity remains down -1.33%.”
The Federgon index reached 104.41 points in July 2022 against 102.87 points the previous month. The index presents the level of activity for the month under review compared with activity in January 2007 (base 100), based on data corrected for seasonal variations.
