Bonza launches agent portal for the first time – Travel Weekly

Bonza launched its travel agency portal today and invites agents to register now for the sale of flights.

Travel agents will be the only non-direct way to book, with the airline taking an “app first” approach.

“It’s a really exciting day for Bonza as we invite travel agents to register with us. The importance and value of local travel agents should not be underestimated, especially lately – after everything, agents are often the heart of a community,” said Bonza Chief Commercial Officer Carly Povey.

“We fully understand that some customers will prefer to book through a friendly, trusted face at a local travel agency and we want to support the travel professional community by investing in this portal.”

Agents who register starting today will be prompted to enter their details on the registration page and activate their account via a confirmation email. Once logged in, agents can view Bonza’s frequently asked questions, terms and conditions, and privacy policy.

Travel agents will need to ensure their customers have the Fly Bonza app downloaded to their mobile phone in order to get the full Bonza experience, including check-in and food and beverage ordering, from the moment they arrive. application, when traveling.

Also in the interest of customer experience, Bonza will require agents to share customer contact information with the airline only to communicate if and when travel plans change, such as weather-related delays.

“We know travel plans change and our app-centric strategy will allow us to send notifications, text updates to customers directly in real time to minimize disruption. For this reason, we look forward to working with agents to provide a seamless experience,” added Povey.

The low-cost carrier has 27 routes on its initial map covering 17 destinations. Ninety-three percent of our routes are currently not served by any airline and 96 percent are currently not served by a low-cost carrier.

“By helping agents get customers from A to B without the C (cost and complexity), we hope to encourage more Australians to explore their backyards,” Povey concluded.
