Brazos Valley Job Fair is being held this Wednesday in Bryan

BRYAN, TX (KBTX) – Looking for a job? One of the biggest job fairs of the summer is happening in Bryan on Wednesday June 29th.

Nathaniel Muir, Business Services Manager at Workforce Solutions Brazos Valley, joined First News at Four to learn more about their Independence Day hiring event.

Everyone is invited to attend the event which will welcome more than 50 employers. They have a variety of jobs with everything from entry level jobs to management positions. Candidates may hear about openings in manufacturing, construction, restoration, etc. Jobs range from full-time to part-time, temporary to permanent.

Muir believes in being prepared. Having a resume isn’t required, but he admits “it’s really good.”

It’s not necessary to wear a suit, but Muir suggests that contestants dress to impress.

“If you really want to be prepared, prepare some questions for employers,” advised Muir.

If candidates need help, Workforce Solutions is available to point potential employees in the right direction or help them write their resumes.

The Independence Day hiring event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Center for Regional Services (the workforce office) at 3991 East 29th Street, Bryan, Texas, 77802.
