Central Agencies Doing Their Job, Says Union Tourism Minister Kishan Reddy – The New Indian Express

HYDERABAD: Union Tourism and Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy has made it clear that central investigative agencies such as Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Directorate of Law Enforcement (ED) and the Income Tax Department (IT Department) were not taking any directives from the Prime Minister’s Office, and they were, in fact, just doing their job and following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message to exercise zero tolerance towards the corrupt.

Addressing party leaders on the inaugural day of the BJP’s ‘state-level boot camp’ being held at Leonia Resorts in Shamirpet on Sunday, he said that ‘although the state government issued an order to stop the CBI from conducting investigations in the state, other agencies like the ED and IT department will continue to do what they do best.”

Some people complain that the Center uses investigative agencies like CBI, ED, and IT to raid them. I want to ask them if they are trying to say that these agencies were not doing their job before,” he added.

He said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had repeatedly criticized the prime minister, assuming his image would grow by doing so, but the people of the country laughed at his actions.
“Even rank and file TRS workers tell us they want to see the BJP come to power. Even IAS and IPS officers, and senior state government officials, when speaking on a personal level, say they want to see the BJP come to power in Telangana,” a- he declared.

“Change is inevitable”

Explaining how the Prime Minister reduced terrorist activities in the country with an iron fist, how he became the most respected statesman on the world stage and how he literally interrupted the war in Ukraine by negotiating with Russia and Ukraine to safely bring back Indian medical students stranded there, he said it showed a leadership quality the chief minister lacked.

“Only by criticizing and slandering the BJP do they want to retain power. Who are they trying to threaten with the farm video files? Change is inevitable in 2023 and the BJP will come to power in Telangana , come what may,” he said.

He also appealed to party leaders and workers not to fear being imprisoned by the oppressive tactics of the state government, assuring that the people of Telangana will continue the movement against the TRS until what it reaches its logical conclusion.

BJP State Chairman Bandi Sanjay Kumar reminded party leaders that the strength of BJP lies in its commitment to its ideology, and it is only through this that the party was able to come to power under the leadership of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. BJP state officials Tarun Chugh and Sunil Bansal as well as all state leaders attended the training sessions.
