Reports to the Director of Operations

Job overview:

The Building Operations Assistant reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for assisting in the preparation of comprehensive reports on the building envelope, infrastructure and equipment life cycle

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide support and troubleshooting to clients on architectural, mechanical and structural capital improvement projects

Perform construction walkthroughs and prepare discovery reports for new business and management support

Assist in the review of supplier contracts, drawings and specifications to provide clients with best practices and clarity of scope of work

Assist in the preparation of webinars on a variety of building construction, operation and maintenance elements

Review modification drawings and specifications and provide customers with best practices and troubleshooting as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum undergraduate degree preferred
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a related industry (architecture / engineering / construction project management)
  • Field related to architecture or engineering preferably
  • Good writing skills (memos, notes, customer correspondence)
  • Likes research (suppliers / products / code / zoning / regulatory compliance)
  • Good listener
