The Central Ohio Transit Authority launched a discounted summer pass program for students of all ages until September 15.

COTA officials say the pass will help “reduce the transit gap that often occurs during the summer when school is not in session,” allowing students of all ages (elementary, secondary , college, university, professional, technological, commercial, etc.) unlimited access to public transit for summer jobs, internships, job shadowing and fun activities.

COTA is hosting a “School’s Out for Summer Beach Party” sign-up drive through Friday at the COTA Experience Center at 33 N. High St. to provide more information about the program.
To enroll in the program, students must bring a student ID or proof of enrollment, such as a transcript, enrollment letter, or web portal, to the COTA Experience Center Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
