FAI Hires Soldiers Statewide, Minimum Starting Wage $24 Hourly

The following is a press release from the Idaho State Police.

The Idaho State Police is Idaho’s only full-service law enforcement agency with commissioned positions specializing in criminal investigations, highway safety and traffic enforcement, security commercial vehicles and the control of alcoholic beverages.

ISP is looking for exceptional candidates to join a team of professionals dedicated to protecting and serving the people of this great state.

“ISP is an exciting career choice for those looking to join law enforcement and those already in the profession who are looking for more freedom and benefits,” said Captain Chris Weadick. “The freedom our Soldiers have to serve across the state, the training and equipment they receive for a number of specialty positions is exciting for those who want a lot of variety and want to be active with promotions and salary increases as they progress in their careers.”

“From continuing education, to excellent health and retirement benefits, and options that extend to where they and their families want to live, IAF soldiers have a lot of freedom and opportunity that we cannot find elsewhere, and these advantages make the difference.” said Weadick.

Applications for the position of ISP Trooper opened today and will be accepted until September. Those interested in learning more can go here.

“Of course, the best thing about working as a soldier with the Idaho State Police is absolutely the people you work with. The people of ISP are proud to serve in Idaho and sincerely grateful for the support they receive from members of the community here. In the end, it makes a real difference. says Weadick
