James Bennett joins Receptional to launch ‘must-have’ digital services for sports betting and iGaming brands – European Gaming Industry News

Receptional – the digital marketing agency based in Bedford, UK – has appointed James Bennett to the board as director of public relations. James brings 12 years of experience in the iGaming industry, serving as Editor of eGaming Review, Head of Communications at Playtech and Director at Square in the Air.

In his new role, James will strengthen Receptional’s digital marketing services for sports betting and iGaming companies. The agency already counts among its clients a leading bookmaker and leading brands such as Betdaq, Casumo, Lottoland, Plus500 and Time2Play. Its team of expert sports writers and link builders create and place 7,000 pieces of content on 10,000 sites per year.

James will augment these services with a focus on digital PR, branding and creative, and paid and social media for B2B businesses in the industry. This includes Receptional’s latest proprietary tool, Decision Maker, which enables vendors to gain both brand awareness in target media and measurable sales to target buyers, with tailored campaigns that no other agency cannot offer.

He will also lead Receptional’s expansion into international markets, where changing regulations are creating new opportunities for sports betting and iGaming brands.

James is the latest in a series of senior hires Receptional has made to build its creative services division. Robin Smith joined as Creative Director in the summer of 2021, bringing Over 35 years of experience in some of the best agencies in the world – and over 100 awards for creativity and efficiency. Amy Canavan followed in the fall, to lead Receptional’s consumer PR team, having held publicist roles at Pan Macmillan and Lionsgate UK.
