Arrivals from countries at risk
-Submission of a sample for the Covid-19 test after arrival at the arrival point (self-paid). These travelers will need to wait for their test results at the airport of arrival before departing or catching a connecting flight.
-If the test is negative, they will undergo home quarantine for 7 days and perform RT-PCR test on the 8th day of arrival in India.
-Travelers will also be required to upload the results of the repeat RT-PCR test for COVID-19 performed on Day 8 to the Air Suvidha portal. If negative, he will further monitor his condition for the next 7 days.
-However, if these travelers test positive, their samples should be sent for genomic testing to the INSACOG laboratory network.
-They must be treated/isolated according to established standard protocol.
-Contacts of such a positive case should be kept in home quarantine strictly monitored by the relevant state government in accordance with established protocol.
Arrivals from countries not at risk
-A subsection (2% of the total number of passengers on the flight) is to undergo random post-arrival testing at the airport upon arrival.
-All travelers (including the 2% who were selected for random testing upon arrival and found negative) will be subject to home quarantine for 7 days and will be required to perform an RT-PCR test on the 8th day of their arrival in India.
-Travelers will also be required to upload the results of the repeat RT-PCR test for COVID-19 performed on Day 8 to the Air Suvidha portal (to be monitored by respective States/UTs).
-If negative, they will monitor their health further for the next 7 days. g. However, if these travelers test positive, their samples should be sent for genomic testing to the INSACOG laboratory network.
-They must be treated/isolated according to established standard protocol
-Children under 5 are exempt from pre-arrival and post-arrival testing. However, if found symptomatic of Covid-19 upon arrival or during the home quarantine period, they should be tested and treated according to established protocol.
