Positions removed from recruitment agencies will be re-advertised, accelerated for fair and transparent recruitment – Kashmir Reader

JAMMU: All vacancies recalled by a recent Board decision will again be referred to recruitment agencies for expedited recruitment under new rules of domicile, booking and recruitment providing equal opportunities for all.
“A free, fair and merit-based selection will be promptly ensured,” an official document said.
It is also clarified that the removal of positions referred to the PSC/SSB prior to October 31, 2019 was only made for positions where selections were not made and results were not declared.
It is important to note that a number of positions referred to the PSC/SSB by various departments have remained blocked for a long time, in some cases since 2004. Some of these positions could not have been published, because they were against the rules recruitment. Therefore, the selection against these positions could not have been made. The removal of these positions was essential to ensure that they could be filled according to the rules in force, opening up opportunities for the young people of J&K.
Appointments to returned positions must be made in a timely manner, normally within approximately one year. A delay of several years taints the recruitment process.
Recruitment rules for various departments have been changed/updated. The qualifications and experience required for a number of positions have changed.
After 31.10.2019, some positions were also transferred to the Union Territory of Ladakh. Selection against positions transferred to the Union Territory of Ladakh can no longer be made. Therefore, the removal of these positions was essential.
It is important to note that employment opportunities for young people have not been reduced in any way due to the removal of these positions. All of these positions will soon be advertised again and recruitment will be completed in fast-track mode. It is also worth mentioning that recruitment for about 3,000 other Class IV positions that had been advertised recently is nearing completion.
