Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor wants the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) to play an effective role in tackling the problem of drug addiction in Sabah to ensure that the people, especially the young generation, is aware of its dangers. “All levels of society, including government agencies, the private sector, industry players, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and community leaders must work with government to prevent and combat drug abuse comprehensively and holistically,” he said. He said this when he witnessed AADK National Director General Sutekno Ahmad Belon handing over a contribution of RM3,000 to 15 NGOs in Sabah to help them run prevention and prevention programs. of drug treatment in the state.
