State Corrections Agency Eager to Hire Veterans

The Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) reminds military veterans that it is committed to supporting them with employment opportunities.

Veterans represent approximately 8.4% of the 10,117 men and women employed by VADOC. The agency’s job opportunities go well beyond security-related jobs, including opportunities for teachers, nurses, food service workers, maintenance specialists, and IT professionals. ‘information.

The department has bolstered its veteran ranks through its close ties with the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, whose V3 initiative connects veterans with employers.
