On November 7, 2021, at 3:37 p.m., it was reported to the NLCRPD that a “suspect man” had been seen in the East Petersburg pool area. It was reported by several children in the area that the adult male seemed to follow them and made them feel “uncomfortable”. The children reported the incident to their parents who contacted the NLCRPD. Prior to the arrival of police, the man was seen leaving the area in a Jeep-type vehicle.
The suspicious man was described as an “adult male, 40 years old, with dark rimmed glasses, wrinkled face, gray eyebrows, black ski mask on his head, black coat, sweatpants. dark gray with bulging pockets and brown construction style gloves “
Police checked the area and told the children and their parents about the incident. The suspect and his or her intentions have not been identified and determined as of this date and time.
Residents are urged to report any suspicious activity, person or vehicle to the NLCRPD. Officers will continue to patrol the parks and surrounding areas.
