NAVI MUMBAI: The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has launched the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) portal to extend services to citizens in an efficient, convenient and transparent manner.

Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, vice president and general manager of CIDCO, said at least 70 services will be provided under the EODB. The planning agency has also opened a Common Facilities Center (CFC) for EODB at CIDCO Bhawan in Belapur to assist people. Similar CFCs will be opened in each CIDCO nodal office.

Dr Mukherjee said they have been working on the project for two years and the facility is now available for ordinary citizens. “Digitalization is not limited to the use of technology. This includes using technology to transform businesses and organizations to improve experiences, facilitate communication and streamline tasks,” said Dr Mukherjee.

Main attributes of the EODB

The main attributes of the EODB are one-stop one-stop clearance, submission, valuation and repair and citizen-centric governance.

The EODB portal will provide 64 real estate services, 4 building permit services, 3 engineering services, 4 general services and 4 NAINA services. Furthermore, the portal is also equipped with a status check feature where a transparent system is created to know the status of the service and will also inform the time to be taken by the respective departments.

Meanwhile, Dr Mukherjee said there should be no misunderstanding regarding the delay in issuing the occupancy certificate by CIDCO. “The planning agency uses an online system for building permissions and there is no human interference. If all documents are in compliance, it is given,” Dr Mukherjee said. He added that he There was a problem when the Unified Development Control and Promotion Regulations (UDCPR) were introduced in 2020 for a uniform building permit system across the state except BMC.
