Tracking incoming transfers for 2022

The LSU Tigers have sought to rebuild their roster after back-to-back disastrous seasons by their standards. In the two years since the national championship, the team finished 11-12.

The team signed a total of 13 high school rookies at the start of the signing period, which was led by a pair of five-star rookies. The next two targets on their list are Jacoby Mathews and TreVonte Citizen. Both were originally committed to LSU, but after a coaching change, they backed out of their decisions.

With many spots available on the roster due to losses in the transfer portal, the team must also look to build from the portal. Head coach Brian Kelly understood there would be a massive exodus of talent and he showed he could bring talent through the portal.
