On Friday, June 17, 2022, at 10:37 p.m., NLCRPD officers were called to a home in the 6000 block of Jeanette Drive in East Petersburg to a report of an adult male making active threats against family members. Upon arrival, police met Fletcher MORTON Jr. of East Petersburg on an outside porch of the home. MORTON Jr. had several outstanding warrants against him. MORTON Jr. was confrontational, argumentative, and verbally combative with family members and police. When MORTON repeatedly refused to comply with the officer’s instructions, officers were forced to deploy a TASER to control and apprehend MORTON Jr.. MORTON Jr. received medical attention and was later transported to the NLCRPD for processing of charges associated with resisting arrest and outstanding warrants. MORTON was remanded to Lancaster County Jail pending a preliminary hearing.
